LASSO LASSO was founded in 1986 by graduates of the University of Stuttgart, at which Professor Argyris was involved in the development and creation of new finite element methods. Fascinated by the potential of computer-aided structural analyses, his team developed software and gained experience that showed potential for industrial use. Analyses of non-linear problems, such as those often encountered in the motor industry, became a major topic of significance.
The company’s main activities are to provide engineering services by developing and marketing cutting-edge technical software. LASSO distributes and supports the software systems ANSA and LARSTRAN. They train clients in the application of the software and provide ongoing support through continuous advice and a service hotline.
LASSO is situated in Leinfelden-Echterdingen near Stuttgart. On-site service is also available in Southern Germany if it is necessary to discuss and solve technical problems.
